Fortnite Mobile on Android and iOS
Fortnite Mobile squeezes the full Fortnite experience onto mobile screens. It’s got all of the features you know and love, including weekly challenges, duos and squad play, and Battle Pass goodies. You can pick up the current Season 5 Battle Pass, and spend your hard earned V-bucks on new skins. There’s no Save the world here though, but that’s likely not what you’ll be up for playing on Fortnite Mobile anyway.
As with all the other versions of Fortnite, Fortnite Mobile allows you to crossplay with friends and other players on other devices. You can face-off against players on Xbox One and Switch, though PS4 players can’t get in on the action.
Fortnite Mobile transfers its controls pretty well to a touch screen. There are two separate modes: combat mode, and build mode. In combat mode, you press down on the screen to move, tap to crouch, drag across the screen to aim, and tap to shoot. In build mode, you’ll be moving in the same way by dragging your finger in a direction, though the build options will be overlayed on the screen. You just have to tap the options you want to place them in the world. It's expected that, when it finally launches at least, Fortnite Android support various Bluetooth game controllers, but the iOS version doesn't support this without some tedious extra work.
