How to Unlock Leon’s Desk in Resident Evil 2
Here's how to unlock Leon's very own desk in Resident Evil 2.
In the early goings of Resident Evil 2, both Leon and Claire can come across Leon's desk within the police station, which requires two codes to unlock. In this Resident Evil 2 Leon's desk codes guide, we'll be providing you with both the combinations that you need in order to gain access to Leon's desk within the police station.
However, if you instead need help with any other areas of the ambitious remake from Capcom, you can head straight over to our Resident Evil 2 walkthrough. Here you can find a full beginner’s guide to the game, as well as a detailed index of our additional guide pages on the game.

How to Solve Leon’s Desk Lock Combination Puzzle in Resident Evil 2
During the Leon Kennedy campaign of Resident Evil 2, you’re eventually going to find yourself in the Raccoon City police station. When you reach the West Office area, which you can see on the map of the ground floor of the police station just below, Leon will find himself tasked with opening the locks on his own desk.

Poor Leon, the guy just can’t catch a break. The note on top of the desk instructs Leon that to open both locks, he must input the initials of every other officer in the room. Well, this is hard, as every other officer in the West Office is now a shambling corpse, or soon to be one (sorry, Marvin).

So, you’ve got to find the names of the deceased colleagues, near each desk. But instead of using your time like this, we’ve got the combination for both locks, just below. The first image is of the correct combination on the right, while the image further down is of the correct lock combination code on the left of Leon’s desk.
The Code to Unlock Leon's Desk in Resident Evil 2 Remake
The code you need to unlock Leon's desk in the Resident Evil 2 remake is just below. It's a unique code for the left and right locks.
- Left lock code: NED
- Right lock code: MRG

What's in Leon's Desk?
Once you’ve been through this and opened up Leon’s desk, you’ll be rewarded with a high capacity magazine for Matilda, Leon’s pistol. Simply combine it in your inventory as you go to pick it up, and you’ll have boosted the magazine of your base weapon as Leon.
