The upcoming Battlefield 1 Turning Tides expansion, which launches later in the year for all Premium Pass owners, might just be the biggest expansion yet for the game, bringing aboard multiple new weapons, new vehicles, new maps, and Operations for players to undertake. In this Turning Tides guide, we'll be running through all the brand new content you can expect to get your hands on, when the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides expansion eventually launches.
Battlefield 1 Turning Tides Release Date
First off, you'll probably want to know when you can get your hands on everything new that the Turning Tides expansion brings to Battlefield 1. While we don't actually have a specific release date for the Turning Tides expansion, we do know that it will be launching in staggered parts, with the initial launch coming in December 2017, and the second release coming in January 2018.
This might sound puzzling, but all the content for the Turning Tides expansion is actually launching in two stages. In December, the Cape Helles and Achi Baba maps, 6 new guns and 2 new melee weapons, Infiltrator class, and L-Class Destroyer, and C-Class Airship will all be releasing for Premium Pass owners. Later in January 2018, the Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge maps, and the British Royal Marines Faction will be releasing to complete the Turning Tides expansion.
Battlefield 1 Turning Tides Content
Now we'll run down everything you can expect to get your hands on in both stages of the Turning Tides expansion release schedule, including new maps, vehicles, weapons, Operations, and more.
Cape Helles map: This looks set to be a large air, land, and sea battle, pitting the British invading forces on the beaches, against the Ottoman Empire fortifications on the land.
Achi Baba map: The Achi Baba map will be an entirely infantry-based firefight on land, as the British forces attempt to gain control of a pivotal hilltop fortification.
Heligoland Bight map: This map is set to be another one of the large scale ones featured in the Turning Tides expansion, as air and sea forces clash over the ocean, while infantry fight for control of the nearby cliffs.
Zeebrugge map: While the Zeebrugge map is another one that brings air, land, and sea combat together into one frenetic game, the infantry combat will be close quarters in this environment, as two opposing armies fight for control of a Belgian port.
But new maps aren't the only thing coming to Battlefield 1 with the Turning Tides expansion. You'll be able to take on the role of the British Royal Marines when the expansion eventually arrives, which you can see just below, as well as several new weapons, both the ranged and melee variety.
