Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Ultra Wormholes Guide

After you have travelled to Ultra Megalopolis via an Ultra Wormhole as part of the story, you will be able to start exploring parts of Ultra Space. This is a small minigame that, depending on how well you do, will allow you to find and capture legendary and hard-to-find pokémon.

As you travel through Ultra Space, you’ll be picking up orange energy orbs. These allow you to travel further, and as a result, further distances in light years from where you started. You will also see blue energy orbs, but these slow you down and are to be avoided.
You can control Solgaleo or Lunala by using motion controls, or by using the circle pad if you speak to someone in the Game Freak offices, which is located on the right of Heahea City. By travelling further through space, you increase your chances of finding rare pokémon. Pick up as many orange energy orbs as you can, and try to end your run in one of the fancier-looking warp holes. The further back you travel, the higher your odds are for catching a shiny pokémon, too. Interestingly, as shinyness is decided when you enter the warp hole, you can save and soft reset the game in order to find a shiny pokémon with a good nature and IVs. These are the pokémon that can be found in Ultra Wormholes:
