If you instead needed help with anything else on Star Wars Battlefront 2, including how to get every Hidden Item scattered throughout the campaign, as well as how to win at Galactic and Starfighter Assault, make sure to check out our Star Wars Battlefront 2 guides walkthrough hub.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Strike Guide

Whereas the other Star Wars Battlefront 2 modes, including Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault, feature teams of up to 20 players, the Strike mode is comparatively smaller in size, having two teams of just 6 players going up against one another, fighting it out over one objective. Firstly, there are two teams, one attacking, and the other defending. The attacking team must retrieve a package before they run out of respawn lives, while the defending team must protect the package until they have killed opposing team members a certain amount of times.

Chewbacca can be available as a playable hero in Strike.

Although Strike is smaller in team size, this Star Wars Battlefront 2 mode can still feature fairly long range combat, so don't think that the Specialist class is redundant with their sniper rifle. To start out, the attacking team have to make haste to retrieve the package from the enemy base as quickly as possible, before the defending team have really had a chance to fortify their positions within the base. Alternatively, the defending team should push up and meet the attacking team head on, not allowing them to get too close to the base too quickly.

If the defending team can hold out for long enough, then they'll end the Strike game there and then, but if the attacking team manage to retrieve the package, then the match changes. Now, the attacking team have to get the package back to the other end of the map, while being hampered by the defending team. But, there's a twist to this, for as soon as the attacking team picks up the package, the defending team's spawn zone will change, and they'll start spawning between the attacking team and where the package originally was, and the other end of the map, where the attacking team need to get the package to.

Here's our attempt at winning on the attacking Strike team.

At this point, the attacking team in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Strike mode need to get the package to the other end of the map, while pushing forward into hostile territory. You obviously need to have the player carrying the package hang back now, letting everyone else on your team clear the path ahead for you. Note that although anyone can pick up the package if it is dropped, special infantry like Flame Troopers and Jet Troopers can't pick up the package.

As for the defenders, it's imperative that you push up against the attacking team as fast as possible. Don't let them gain any ground on you, and as soon as you're able to kill the player carrying the package, push forward to defend it until it spawns back in the original point, and don't let anyone on the attacking team recover it.

These are all the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Strike tips and tricks you'll need in order to succeed in the small-scale mode, but you can be sure we'll update this guide whenever we uncover any new information.
