Destiny 2 World-Eater Quest Guide - How to Complete On the Comms, Await the World-Eater Mission Walkthrough

Once Destiny 2's most mysterious quest, the World-Eater quest now has an ending to it, and this guide will walk you through how to complete the On the Comms quest.

The Destiny 2 World-Eater quest was a strange mission at first, as it couldn't be completed when it was originally added to the game. In this Destiny 2 World-Eater guide, we'll be walking you through how to complete the quest that involves the 'On the Comms' item, so you can obtain a rather powerful weapon in the process.

If you need anything else on Destiny 2 that isn’t related to the World Eater quest, then be sure to head over to Destiny 2 guides walkthrough hub, where you can find walkthrough guides on how to obtain every Exotic armor and weapon in the game.

Destiny 2 World-Eater Quest Guide

The Destiny 2 World-Eater quest was originally implemented in the game before it could actually be completed, leading to plenty of confusion among fans as to the apparent incomplete nature of the quest line. Now, of course, the World-Eater quest can actually be completed by finishing the Leviathan Raid, but at the time that players first discovered the quest in Destiny 2, it couldn't be finished.

To begin the World-Eater quest, all you have to do is randomly kill Cabal units (you can do this by simply playing your way through the campaign), until one of them drops the 'On the Comms' item.

The On the Comms item will now reside in your Power weapon slot in your inventory, so head to Nessus and begin killing Red Legion soldiers you come across (they can be found in the southern Cistern area).

Once you've obtained five lots of the On the Comms item from fallen Red Legion troops, the World-Eater quest will update, instructing you to 'look for the arrival of the World-Eater'.

At this point, you need to complete the rather difficult Leviathan Raid, in order to advance the World-Eater quest any further. Head over to our full Leviathan Raid guide to find out how to beat every task in order to face Emperor Calus himself.
