Fortnite Season 6 should now be less than a week away from launching for all players around the world, if a single in-game clue is anything to go by. In this Fortnite Season 6 everything we know guide, we'll be piecing together all the information we have so far about the upcoming seasonal event in Battle Royale, including the suspected Fortnite Season 6 launch date, all the Fortnite Season 6 leaks that have taken place so far, as well as a list of the Fortnite Season 6 skins, based on the aforementioned leaks.
But if you instead need anything to do with the current Fortnite event, you’ll want to head over to our Fortnite Season 5 guides hub. It’s in this guide that you can find a complete list of every single challenge that’s been made available so far over the course of Season 5, as well as list of all the character skins you can earn through the current Battle Pass.
Fortnite Season 6 Launch Date
We mentioned previously that Fortnite Season 6 isn't actually too far away from launching right now. Although there haven't been that many teases of the upcoming seasonal event from Epic, the final week of Battle Royale Season 5 kicked off back on September 14, so we're now done with new challenges for this season.
As for when Fortnite Season 6 could potentially be launching, September 24 is certainly looking likely. Scroll over to the Battle Pass tab on the main menu of Fortnite Battle Royale, and there you'll find a countdown for the number of days left in the current season. This countdown timer indicates that Fortnite Season 5 will end on September 23, so it seems possible that Fortnite Season 6 could kick off the very next day, on September 24.
Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass
As always, when Fortnite Season 6 launches, there’ll be a brand new Battle Pass available for purchase. You only need purchase the Battle Pass once per season, which will then allow you to increase your reward tier rank to unlock cosmetic items for use when playing, such as new character skins and new emotes.
If past trends are anything to go by, then the basic Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass should cost 950 V-Bucks to unlock. For the uninitiated, V-Bucks are the microtransaction currency used in Fortnite, and 1,000 V-Bucks equated to $9.99. But, if you’re willing to shell out a few extra bucks for the upgraded version of the Season 6 Battle Pass, you’ll be able to earn a few extra reward tiers in the process, giving you a head start on earning new cosmetic items.
Fortnite Season 6 Skins
Just below, you can see a fair few skins which were leaked earlier in the current Fortnite Season 5. While we don't actually know yet if these skins will be a part of Season 6, it's certainly worth keeping an eye on, to see if they're held back for the next seasonal event.
As for other cosmetic items potentially launching with Fortnite Season 6, you can check out the colorful array of Gliders just below. Again, we're not sure when any of these items could be launching, and we'll update this guide if any of them are implemented in the game before Season 6 launches.
This might be the end of our Fortnite Season 6 guide, but we’ll make sure to keep this page updated with all future information. For now though, you can head over to our Fortnite Week 7 Challenges guide, where we’ve got a complete guide on how to complete all seven challenges for the week.
