The Fortnite Omega Skin is the talk of the town right now, being one of the more elite skins you’ll obtain through Fortnite Season 4, through upgrading your Battle Pass with multiple challenges. In this Fortnite Omega Skin guide, we’ll be walking you through how to fully unlock, and then upgrade, the Omega Skin after you’ve jumped into the brand new seasonal event.
If you instead need anything else to do with Fortnite Battle Royale, including how to master the game to survive to the later stages, as well as where you can find all the most powerful weapons scattered across the map, make sure to head over to our Fortnite Battle Royale guides hub.
Fortnite Omega Skin Guide
For the uninitiated, Fortnite Season 4 recently launched for players around the world, but for the chance to obtain some of the more elite items in the season, you’ll need to purchase the Battle Pass for Season 4, even if you previously owned a Battle Pass as part of Season 3 of Fortnite.
Once you’ve purchased the Battle Pass for Season 4, you’ll be able to see all the reward tiers for the Season 4 Battle Pass, one of which is the Omega skin for your character. Unfortunately, the Omega skin is the very final reward for the Season 4 Battle Pass, requiring you to earn enough Bronze Stars to upgrade your Battle Pass to level 100 to unlock the Omega skin.
Your quickest way of earning Bronze Stars and unlocking new tiers in the Battle Pass is to complete both Daily and Weekly Challenges as part of Fortnite Season 4. For all the information you need to complete these as quickly as possible, head over to our Fortnite Season 4 Challenges guide, which we’ll be updating every week when new Challenges release.
How to Upgrade the Omega Skin
If you head over to the ‘Challenges’ tab on the main Fortnite Battle Royale menu, you’ll be able to see a tab under the ‘Battle Pass Challenges’ section which reads ‘Omega Challenges’. Select this, and you’ll be taken to the screen just below, which tasks you with various challenges in order to upgrade the Omega skin once you’ve unlocked it.
This is the first time that Fortnite has featured a way in which to upgrade your existing character skins, giving you something new to do once you’ve unlocked the very highest item from the Season 4 Battle Pass. There are five challenges in total for the Omega skin, and we’ve listed them out just below:
- Reach Season Level 25 - Unlocks Upgraded Omega Chest Armor
- Reach Season Level 25 - Unlocks Upgraded Omega Greaves
- Reach Season Level 45 - Unlocks Upgraded Omega Gauntlets
- Reach Season Level 65 - Unlocks Upgraded Omega Helmet
- Reach Season Level 80 - Unlocks Upgraded (even better) Omega Chest Armor
If you want to earn the fully upgraded set of Omega armor for your Fortnite character, then you’re going to be chipping away at it over a long period. Reaching season level 65 or 80 is by no means an easy feat, as you’re effectively on a timer to complete it before Season 4 ends, which should be right around the beginning of July 2018.
We might be all rounded out with this Fortnite guide on how to both unlock and upgrade the Omega skin for your playable character, but head over to our complete Fortnite Season 4 skins guide, or our very best Fortnite skins page, where we rank the top 15 skins in the game.
