The Splatoon 2 Octo Oven boss might seem odd, but he's comparatively normal next to the rest of the bosses you encounter in Splatoon 2. This boss isn't too difficult to overcome, even if you are using the underpowered Hero Shooter (thanks, Sheldon), but you'll still have to be fairly quick on your feet if you want to take down the Toaster boss quickly. In this Splatoon 2 Octo Oven Boss Guide we'll tell you all you need to know so you can be victorious.

How to Beat the Octo Oven in Splatoon 2
In the first stage, circle the Octo Oven boss, making sure to keep your distance as it fires out loaves of bread one by one. After two shots at you, the toaster will close the gap between it and you, firing out all loaves of bread. As soon as it does this, spray ink onto the side of the nearest loaf and climb on it, doing the same to the next loaf you find ahead of you once you've climbed it. Turn inwards towards the boss, and spray ink to climb on top of it, taking out the tentacle and bringing an end to the first part of the fight.
The second stage of the Octo Oven boss fight is basically the same as the first, except now there are pillars of enemy ink dotted around the map. Once again, circle the Oven boss, waiting for the opportune moment to scale the loaves of bread when they all pop out at once, and take out the tentacle for the second time atop the boss.
In the third and final stage, start circling the boss anti clockwise, as the Octo Oven boss will start covering the entire battleground with ink from an arm. Once this bit is over, just wait for the boss to release all the loaves at once, and climb to the top for the final time, taking care to avoid the new metal areas on the side of the loaves, as your ink won't stick to them. Destroy the tentacle for the final time, and the Octo Oven boss is... toast (sorry).
Tips and Strategies for taking down the Splatoon 2 Octo Oven boss
- If you're not already circling the boss, it's a good idea to move whenever the Octo Oven stops. This signals it's charging up an attack.
- You don't have to be especially quick when climbing up to the top of the Octo Oven, but there is a timer before it gets back up again.
- The Octo Oven will only move towards you if you get too far away from it, so as long as you keep circling it, the boss will stay in place.
