Call of Duty: WW2 is offering up yet another boatload of DLC for season pass holders, in the War Machine DLC pack. In this CoD WW2 War Machine guide, we’ll be running over everything you need to know about the forthcoming DLC pack, including the War Machine DLC release date, the new CoD WW2 Dunkirk and Egypt maps, and the brand new Shadowed Throne Nazi Zombies map.
If you instead needed anything else on Call of Duty: WW2, including all the best weapons like submachine guns and assault rifles in the base version of the game, as well as a complete guide to the debut Nazi Zombies map, make sure to head over to our CoD WW2 guides hub.
CoD WW2 War Machine DLC Release Date
The War Machine DLC pack, which marks the second substantial DLC offering for CoD WW2 players after the debut Resistance DLC pack earlier this year, is live right now on the PS4, as of April 10. However due to the exclusive agreement that Sony and Activision hold for the release of new DLC first on the PS4, the War Machine DLC will be arriving on Xbox One and PC around a month later.
We don’t yet have a prospective release date for the War Machine DLC on either Xbox One and PC, but it should be set to launch around the middle of May, at the same time on both platforms.
CoD WW2 New Dunkirk and Egypt Maps
There are a total of three new maps in the War Machine DLC, but two of these maps are in brand new locations for CoD WW2 players. We’ll be visiting Egypt and Dunkirk as part of the new maps in the DLC pack, although don’t expect the latter to be anything like the Christopher Nolan film.
Finally, the third multiplayer map in the War Machine DLC is titled ‘V2’, and is an ultra-fast, small map, combining limited size and scope for some hectic multiplayer battles. This map is set in Germany, so unlike the Dunkirk and Egypt map, it’s a location we’re familiar with in CoD WW2.
There’s also the addition of a brand new scenario for the War mode of CoD WW2, named Operation Husky. Named after the real life operation from the Allies that took control of Sicily away from the Axis forces, one side will be attempting to recover a key piece of intel, while the defending side will be trying to keep the encroaching Allies at bay, to prevent a bombing run.
CoD WW2 Shadowed Throne Zombies Map
Finally, the last piece of new content in the War Machine DLC pack is a new Nazi Zombies map, called The Shadowed Throne. Instead of a deserted island like the Darkest Shore map from the Resistance DLC pack, the Shadowed Throne takes place in Berlin, as Dr Straub is one again back to bring havoc to the heart of Germany.
This concludes our guide to the brand new War Machine DLC pack for Call of Duty: WW2, but make sure to keep an eye on this page, as we’ll be updating it with all the latest information, like a complete breakdown of the Shadowed Throne Nazi Zombies map.
