The white gems in Crash Bandicoot in N.Sane Trilogy are awarded for breaking all the crates in each level, so they are the collectible items only completionists get their hands on. There’s nothing complicated about the process, but it’s worth bearing in mind that to find every crate you’ll need to have unlocked all paths - to do this you’ll need to find all the colored gems and keys. Also, be careful not to destroy crates you need to bounce off in order to reach higher crates. Levels can be replayed, but it’s safest to enter areas cautiously rather than spinning out of control.
What are Colored Gems in Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy?
Each game in the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) has a set of colored gems to find, including green gems, blue gems, red gems, yellow gems, orange gems, and purple gems. Finding them will unlock previously inaccessible paths in levels, allowing you to 100% complete the games. Each colored gem has its own collection criteria, which you can find below.
The first game in the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) has six colored gems to find. In order to get each gem you need to smash all the crates without losing a life on the levels listed below.
Crash Bandicoot Colored Gem Location Levels

|Red Gem||Slippery Climb|
|Green Gem||The Lost City|
|Yellow Gem||The Lab|

|Orange Gem||Generator Room|
In Crash Bandicoot 2 (Cortex Strikes Back), getting your hands on the colored gems isn’t as simple as smashing crates without losing a life. The five colored gems in Crash Bandicoot 2 PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC require you to perform specific tasks on certain levels. We’ve detailed the levels and tasks for you in the table below.
