'Search FORTNITE Letters' is undoubtedly one of the harder challenges of Fortnite Week 1, as part of the relatively recently launched Fortnite Season 4. In this FORTNITE Letters locations guide, we'll be walking you through how to search FORTNITE Letters scattered across the Battle Royale map, so you can complete this difficult challenge as quickly as possible.
If you instead need anything else to do with the brand new Season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale, including how to purchase the new Battle Pass, as well as a complete walkthrough of all the new character skins and other cosmetic items you can obtain through the limited event, make sure to head over to our full Fortnite Season 4 guides hub.
How to Find the FORTNITE Letters
We previously mentioned that you’ll need to obtain the new Battle Pass for Fortnite if you wish to undertake any of the new challenges. While you can undertake the Daily Challenges without purchasing this new Battle Pass, you’ll need to shell out 950 V-Bucks to upgrade to the pass if you want to take on the elite Weekly Challenges. For a full walkthrough of every other new Weekly Challenge as part of Fortnite Season 4, check out our Fortnite Week 1 Challenges guide.
Once you’ve purchased the Battle Pass, you’re ready to track down the FORTNITE Letters, as soon as you’ve jumped into a game and are waiting patiently in the Battle Bus, ready to deploy.
Fortnite Letters Locations
As part of Fortnite Season 4, Dusty Depot has been obliterated by the falling comet that first teased the arrival of Season 4 over the Battle Royale map. This isn’t the only thing that’s new as part of Fortnite Season 4, as for this challenge in particular, you’ll need to track down all eight F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letters, instead of just heading to one simple location as you would do for any other treasure hunt challenge in the game.
Just below, we’ll list out where each of the FORTNITE letters can be found across the Battle Royale map. Keep in mind that things could get tricky if you find that a number of players are heading to the same letter at once, so it might be a good idea to hang back, letting the players go on ahead of you, while you wait until they’re all gone to collect the letter for yourself.
- F - Can be found in the new mansion located in Lonely Lodge.
- O - Found on top of a hut near the race track.
- R - Located at Haunted Hills.
- T - Found on top of a tower at Tilted Towers.
- N - Located on top of a metal tower in the obliterated Dusty Depot.
- I - Can be found in Moisty Mire, right next to the new helicopter.
- T - Found in Pleasant Park, right on top of the gazebo.
- E - Located within Greasy Grove, in the park area.
Keep in mind that you don’t need to discover and collect all eight FORTNITE letters in a single Battle Royale match. In an odd twist to the challenge, the letters will always spell out FORTNITE, no matter which order you discover them in. So if you uncover the letter in Greasy Grove first, it'll be an 'F', and so forth.
