You can now plan your team in advance of owning Pokemon Sun and Moon thanks to a fan-created tool.
The remarkably well-presented Pokemon Team Planner gives you the full run of all Pokemon currently confirmed for Sun and Moon (so, spoilers for that list if you want to keep it secret) and you can simply pick and choose your perfect lineup. Once you've picked six brave and true, click the plus symbol at the top to get battle report on the collective strengths and weaknesses. It's not the same as experimenting in the game, but it's a good way to test things out before you start playing Pokemon Sun and Moon.
It's extremely unofficial, so you won't be able to export your finished team into the game, but it's a compelling way to get your Pokemon on before the game arrives. It's surprisingly engaging picking through the extensive range of Pokemon available and working out which makes the best team, like working out the ideal Fantasy Football draft pick only with Snorlax instead of a quarterback, which is frankly a pretty strong game pitch in its own right. (We've got a prior list of the best, strongest Pokemon if you need some tips.)
