PS4 Pro Boost Mode

The games listed above have been specifically created or updated to make use of the PS4 Pro's increased spec over the standard PS4. There is, however, a way for unpatched PS4 games to see an improvement on the PS4 Pro thanks to Boost Mode. By enabling Boost in the PS4 Pro settings you'll find certain games running better than on the original PS4. Games that benefit most from PS4 Pro Boost Mode run with an unlocked frame rate or a dynamic scaling resolution. Both these areas can see improvements when running on PS4 Pro. You might also notice improved loading times.

Best PS4 Pro Boost Mode Games

  • Just Cause 3 - smoother framerate
  • Assassin's Creed Unity - smoother framerate
  • Batman: Arkham Knight - less screen tearing

Staff Writer

Hirun Cryer is by far the most juvenile member of USgamer. He's so juvenile, that this is his first full-time job in the industry, unlike literally every other person featured on this page. He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
