This guide quickly recaps the Institute Quest: Nuclear Family, which is the final main Institute quest in Fallout 4. This quest begins immediately following the events of the Institute Quest: Airship Down.

Speak to Father

If you have come this far, it means you have successfully secured the safety of the Commonwealth, at least in Father’s eyes. Locate Father in his chambers on the upper floor of the Institute, just above the conference room.

When you arrive, you find Father lying in bed. Speak with him regarding the outcome of the previous mission and the future of the Commonwealth. After some brief conversation, the quest concludes and is followed by a cutscene. This quest marks the last of the main Institute quests. However, Institute Radiant and Miscellaneous quests are still available if you wish to continue your work for the Institute.

Now that the main faction quests are over, locate Shaun to receive several quests from him. Completing these quests grants you the coveted Wazer Wifle, a semi-automatic laser rifle that has an unlimited ammo capacity.
