Here's our Control guide to the punchcard terminals puzzle, and how to activate the HRA machine.

A few hours into Control, you'll come across a puzzle sequence where you have to match the correct shapes to the numbered computer terminals. In this Control terminals puzzle walkthrough, we'll be taking you through each of the 5 terminals, detailing the correct symbol to match with each one.

Control Terminals Puzzle Walkthrough

As we mentioned at the top of this guide, the Control terminals puzzle occurs just a few hours into the game. When you first reach the HRA Lab area, which in itself is found within the Research area of the game, you'll meet this puzzle.

In each of the images below, we'll be guiding you through the 5 terminals. But firstly, you'll want to run around the area and grab all the bits of yellow paper you can see in the environment. You should end up with 5 bits of paper with 5 different symbols on them, which is what you'll need to solve this puzzle.

Control Terminals Puzzle Solution
