The Halloween themed event, Hallow’s End, is coming to Hearthstone. We’ve got all the details, including the start date, free card packs, a new Warlock Hero, and more.

Halloween themed events in games are very popular, and Hearthstone isn’t going to miss out on the fun. The Hearthstone Hallow’s End event is coming this October and brings with it cool free card packs, a new Hero and a whole lot more. We’ve got all the details you need to make sure you enjoy everything the Hallow’s End event has to offer.

Hearthstone Hallow’s End Guide

Hallow’s End brings Halloween themed festivities to Hearthstone, including an all-new dual class Arena Mode. Players will be able to choose a Hero, a Hero Power from another class, and then cards from both of those classes (plus neutral cards). Plus, all of the nine classic Hearthstone Heroes will attend Arena games in Halloween costume. Read on for details on when Hallow's End finishes, and what is happening in each week.

When Does Hearthstone Hallow’s End Start and End?

Hearthstone Hallow’s End begins on October 24 and runs until November 5. We’ve got details on the free cards and Arena tickets for you below.

Free Card Packs and Arena Runs

  • Week one: Log in between 9 a.m. PDT on October 24 and 11:59 p.m. on October 30 for a Whispers of the Old Gods card pack and an Arena ticket.
  • Week two: Log in between 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 31 and 11:59 p.m. on November 5 for a Knights of the Frozen Throne card pack and an Arena ticket.

The Headless Horseman Rides Tavern Brawl

From October 25 to October 28 a special Hallow’s End Tavern Brawl, The Headless Horseman Rides, will run. In order to defeat the Headless Horseman players must choose which costume to wear, each with its own deck of cards and a passive Hero Power.

New Warlock Hero - Nemsy Necrofizzle

From today, all Hearthstone players can claim a free alternative Warlock Hero, Nemsy Necrofizzle, by taking part in a Fireside Brawl and any established Fireside Gathering Tavern. Nemsy, a Hearthstone original who made her debut in the Bog Creeper Card, will continue to be available once the Hallow’s End event finishes.
