Dauntless Build - All Combos for the Best Dauntless Builds

Here's our guide to all the Dauntless builds you should be going after, and how you can put them together using weapons and armor items.

Dauntless is a game where you're meant to play around with weapon and armor combinations, until you find armor and other support items that boost the stats of your desired weapons. In our Dauntless builds guide, we'll be providing you with a walkthrough of some of the best Dauntless builds we've found within the game to date.

Dauntless Build Guide

Going about uncovering the best Dauntless builds is by no means an easy feat. There are an insane amount of weapons, armor items, lanterns, and cells to choose from, all of which can combine for varying effects. In the sections below, we've outlined some of the best Dauntless builds you can find in the entire game.

Dauntless Hammer Build

This Dauntless build is the absolute king for dealing stagger damage. The Skarn's Vengeance hammer already has +3 Knockout King perk, giving you an increase to stagger damage, and then you can even add another Knockout King bonus through the vacant Cell slots.

  • Skarn's Vengeance
  • Shrikedown Helm
  • Shrikedown Plate
  • Shrikedown Gloves
  • Shrikedown Greaves
  • Shrike's Zeal

You need to make sure you're putting Agility-focused Cells in vacant Cell armor slots. The Weighted Strikes perk of Skarn's Vengeance need you to maximise dodging speed for a potential +400 damage after you've rolled or dodged through an attack.

Dauntless Axe Build

The Iceborne perk is the key to unlocking the potential of this Dauntless build. It means you can be offensive without having to worry too much about your health, since you get a decrease in damage taken by 30% when you're under half health. While this buff is active, you'll also get a 8% lifesteal on all attacks, which heals you back up in no time.

  • Any Axe
  • Hellplate Casque
  • Draskscale Plate
  • Gnasher Grips
  • Boreal March
  • Drask's Eye

Boreus Sword Build

The Dauntless build centering around the Onus of Boreus sword is actually quite easy to put together, since you're going to be facing off against the Boreus and Gnasher pretty early on in the game. You're going to want to put Iceborne, Rage, and Wild Frenzy Cells on the armor pieces in this build, wherever you can.

  • Onus of Boreus
  • Hellplate Casque
  • Gnasher Cloak
  • Gnasher Grips
  • Boreal March
  • Drask's Eye
