Fortnite Shopping Carts Guide
After much teasing from Epic, Fortnite Shopping Carts were finally added earlier in the year by Epic. At the time, a 1 GB patch brought the makeshift vehicles into the game.
For now, the locations of the Shopping Carts on the Fortnite map are somewhat uncertain, but one area you’re always guaranteed to find a Shopping Cart in is Retail Row. It makes a bit of sense if you think about it logically (not that Fortnite is logical), but you’re always guaranteed to find at least one Shopping Cart in the middle car park in Retail Row.
Aside from Retail Row, we’re not sure of any additional locations which are always guaranteed to house a Shopping Cart. Keep an eye on this guide though, as we’ll make sure to update this guide whenever we uncover any additional locations.
How to Use a Shopping Cart in Fortnite
As for actually putting the Shopping Cart to use once you’ve found it in Fortnite, they’re actually really simple to use. If you’re playing solo, then you’ll always get automatically put into the drivers position at the back of the Shopping Cart, and from here the only thing you can do is drive the Shopping Cart around the map.
If you’re playing duos however, you can have your partner sit in the actual Shopping Cart, firing off a weapon while you drive them around the map in Fortnite. This makes you a team to be reckoned with since you’ve got speed and firepower, but keep in mind that you’re incredibly vulnerable if you’re driving the Shopping Cart solo.
If you’re driving on your own, you’ll have to repeatedly press the right trigger to boost yourself on. The only way you can use your weapon is by actually exiting the Shopping Cart itself, and readying up your weapon to fire. It’s not the most sound strategy if you’re on your own, so keep this in mind if you’re driving solo.
The Shopping Carts are going to feature as part of the upcoming Week 9 slate, where you'll have to use one of the vehicles to complete one of the seven challenges for the week.
