The game will also arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms later in 2015, with those versions developed by High Voltage Software.
In case you haven't picked up the game yet, read Bryan Dawson’s in-depth review of Mortal Kombat X. Also known as DrDogg in the competitive Mortal Kombat scene, not only did Bryan write the official strategy guides for different Mortal Kombat games, but he also placed high at the Evolution Fighting Game Championships and many other regional and national tournaments for MK and various fighting games.
Mortal Kombat X Tips
- Spend time in the Mortal Kombat X Training Mode. Doing this will help players adjust to the various characters before they venture into the game's multi-player.
- Training mode is also required in order to unlock the Mortal Kombat X story mode, so it's basically mandatory.
- Each character has three variants that greatly alter their fighting styles. Make sure you check out each variant before selecting a character. We have them listed below.
- In addition to your standard meter in MKX, there's also a stamina meter that controls things like Breakers and running. Keep an eye on these so you know what moves you can do and when.
- Brutalities require that players accomplish certain tasks during the match. Only then will they become available for use
- Even if you're not a fan of some of the new characters, make sure to spend some time playing as them in order to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
