A Forza Horizon 4 Demo Looks Likely to Be Released Today [Update: Demo is Live]

Listing for a demo of Playground Games' upcoming open-world racer appears on Xbox site.

Update: The Forza Horizon 4 demo appears to be live now. You can download the demo over at the official Microsoft Store page for your Xbox One. The demo also appears to come with Xbox One X enhancements.

Original Story

If you're pacing around your house impatiently waiting for the release of Forza Horizon 4, it looks like you'll be able to get a sampler very soon. Today in fact, if the listing on the official Xbox website is telling the truth.

As you can see on Xbox.com, there is a page for the Forza Horizon 4 demo. Alongside details such as download size (27.83 GB, for those who are interested), the release date of September 12 is also listed. That is today!

The demo isn't currently available, but all things being well it should go live later today. It's not clear what the demo will include, but there's a reasonable chance it will be similar to the gameplay demo shown off at E3, in which the brief race cycled through the four seasons.

Forza Horizon 4 releases on Xbox One and PC on October 2, although Ultimate Edition buyers will have access from September 28. The game releases on Xbox Game Pass on October 2. If you want the game without having to pay a membership fee, you can pre-order Forza Horizon 4 (or go for the Ultimate Edition).
