Good news for block-builders anxious to see what's next for making Marios: Nintendo has announced a surprise Nintendo Direct tomorrow, focused on the upcoming Super Mario Maker 2.
The bite-sized Direct will be "roughly" 15 minutes, and looks to center squarely on the Maker sequel coming June 28 to the Nintendo Switch. The broadcast will start at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET on Nintendo's channels.
The anticipated sequel to one of the Wii U's greatest gems, the game is also on the heels of reports about Nintendo's potential Switch hardware revision. There's also a Mario Maker stylus on the way, if you're in one of the regions that it is available.
This also comes ahead of Nintendo's E3 Direct on June 11, which makes you wonder if the last-minute news drop is to make some space for other announcements. Or maybe someone just made a really sick Mario level they want to show off.
