A New Five Nights at Freddy's Game is Out, and it's Free
Nothing suspicious about free pizza, right?
The Five Nights at Freddy's survival horror series has come lurching and groaning back into the limelight thanks to the yesterday's release of the sixth Five Nights at Freddy's game. If you're a fan of animatronics digging their icy metal fingers into your gut and throwing your entrails around like party streamers, here's some good news for you: The game is free to download off Steam. You can die horribly and repeatedly for $0. What a deal!
Though the game is titled "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator" and it initially looks and plays like a single-note Atari-style arcade game, it quickly lapses into something more substantial: A satirical pitch video offering you a chance to become a Fazbear Entertainment franchisee. Wow! What could possibly go wrong?
Well, as usual, everything.
There's a story behind Five Nights at Freddy's 6 (which is told as you build your very own pizzeria and attempt not to die), and it ties into the previous games. I haven't updated our Five Nights at Freddy's story guide yet, but I will once fans have had time to sort the pepperoni from the tomato slices and chew the game's crust into a fine paste.
