A New Apex Legends Character Might be Hiding in Revenant's Cinematic
Loba.
Respawn just debuted the stunning cinematic for Apex Legends' latest character: Revenant. Although the shadowy assassin is obviously the focal point of the new trailer, there might be someone else hiding in the movie.
You can see the impressive animated cinematic just below, in which Revenant goes to work as a hired assassin working for Hammond Robotics. Revenant is maybe the most brutal character we've seen in Apex Legends to date, and there's a moment where he devolves into a shadowy shapeless form, perhaps teasing one of his in-game abilities.
Revenant takes out his target in the cinematic, as well as his cohorts. Before Revenant kicks off his attack, his target hands a wolf figurine to what we can assume is his daughter, before getting her to safety at the cost of his own life later on. At the very end of the video, we see the daughter mourning her father with a vengeful look on her face.

What's caught some attention among the Apex Legends fan base is the wolf figurine the daughter is handed. Loba in Spanish roughly translates to 'she-wolf' in English, and Loba just happens to be the codename of an Apex Legends character that was data mined from files in the video below back in August 2019.
So, some Apex Legends fans are taking the wolf figurine to mean that the daughter is none other than Loba, an upcoming character in Apex Legends. For this to work of course, the cinematic with Revenant would have to take place at least a decade prior to the current events in the Apex Legends universe, for Loba to be old enough to partake in the Apex Games.
It would certainly be a compelling backstory. Loba joins the Apex Games to get revenge on Revenant for killing her father and mother years prior. For now though, Revenant has been confirmed as the next character joining the Apex Games, and Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation will launch on February 4, likely introducing the new assassin alongside the event.
