A Pile of Bones Has Appeared in Fortnite's Moisty Mire as Season 5 Hype Ramps Up

These Season 5 teases are going a bit far, so here's a pteroble pun about dinosaurs.

As you've no doubt heard by now, Fortnite Season 5 is right around the corner. Now, a pile of bones has appeared out of a portal in Fortnite's Moisty Mire area. Charming.

In the tweet just below, a Fortnite player discovers one of the rifts around the map, this time in the Moisty Mire area. Instead of swallowing up an object as some past rifts have done, this rift instead spits out a pile of animal bones.

What could this mean for Fortnite? We have absolutely no clue, but Season 5 is roughly 24 hours away from launching, on July 12. A teaser that we got for Season 5 from the Fortnite Twitter account just yesterday can be seen below, featuring what looks suspiciously like Kratos' axe from the new God of War.

Previously in the Season 5 teases, a carriage appeared out of a rift on the map, as well as the burger sign appearing in a desert in real-life America. For more on what the next Fortnite seasonal event could potentially contain, head over to our Fortnite Season 5 hopes and dreams page.

Right now, it's anyone's guess as to what Season 5 of the Battle Royale game could potentially feature when it releases tomorrow. For some educated guesses, as well as exact launch times around the world, head over to our Fortnite Season 5 guide.

He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
