Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Change Your Front Door
You can change the color and style of your house's front door in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Here's how.
You get to customize your house in Animal Crossing New Horizons, changing everything from room layout to the color and style of your front door. It's the latter that we'll be talking you through in this guide, so read on to find out how to change your front door.
How to Change Your Front Door in Animal Crossing New Horizons
To change your front door in Animal Crossing New Horizons you'll need to have built your fifth extension on your house. This is the one that costs a whopping 548,000 Bells. Once you've done this, head to Tom Nook at the Town Hall (more info on that in this guide). Select 'about my home' and then 'customize'. You'll be taken to a screen where you can change a number of things, including the color and style of your front door.
Front Doors List
There are a number of different types of front door you can buy in Animal Crossing New Horizons. We haven't unlocked all of them, but here's what the options are so far:
- Basic door
- Windowed door
- Rustic door
- Zen door
- Slotted door

How Much Does it Cost to Change Your Front Door?
All exterior house customizations cost the same price. It'll cost 5,000 Bells to order one set of changes. This means you can change the color of your roof (more on that here), front door and mail box for just 5,000 Bells. Note that one round of changes will take a day, so make sure you change everything you want before committing.

That's everything we have on this subject, but for more Animal Crossing New Horizons, there's plenty more to see here on USG. First up there's Caty's article on players who cheat in the game. Elsewhere there's Nadia's piece on the absolutely horrifying tarantulas that appear while playing.
