Animal Crossing New Horizons: When Does Kicks Come to Your Island?

Kicks the skunk is a traveling vendor who sells shoes, socks and bags. Here's all the details you need to know about him.

Playing Animal Crossing New Horizons will introduce you to many new characters, few as memorable as Kicks, a skunk in a flat cap who'll sell you footwear and bags for your avatar. If you want to know when Kicks comes to your island, we've got that covered below.

When Does Kicks Come to Your Island in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

Kicks can arrive at any point after upgrading the Resident Services area to the Town Hall, the process for which we've outlined at our handy guide here. Once you've done that, there's a chance Kicks will show up in the plaza outside roughly once a week (the actual day is random, so there's no way to be certain). Isabelle won't tell you in the morning announcements if he is there, so be sure to go and see yourself.

What Does Kicks Sell?

Kicks mainly deals in footwear, as you might've guessed from his name, both shoes and socks. Every time he shows up on the island there'll be a random selection he'll sell, usually three different pairs of shoes and the same number of socks, for prices that vary depending on how rare or austentatious they look. He also sells bags, satchels and backpacks - in fact, Kicks is the only way to buy these things from a merchant, otherwise you'll have to find or win them in other sections of the game. However, if you want socks and shoes, you can purchase those from the Able Sisters shop. If you don't have one of those yet, you can find out how to get one here.

We're always looking for new ways to bring you great Animal Crossing content here at USgamer. Caty's ode to Leif is right over here, or why not enjoy Nadia's theories on the relationship between Flick and CJ?
