Animal Crossing New Horizons: When Does Label Come to Your Island?

We'll explain here when Label, the third Able sister, will show up on your island and how you can present her the clothes she wants to see.

One of the recurring visitors who'll show up to your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons is Label Able, the aspiring fashion designer hedgehog who will look to you for inspiration. We'll cover the question here of when will Label come to your island, and how to complete the puzzle challenge that follows.

When Does Label Come to Your Island in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

To get Label to come to your island, you'll first have to have built the Able Sisters clothes shop, which we've explained how to do here. Once that's done, Label will appear in the plaza in front of the Town Hall about once a week, depending on how lucky you get. Unfortunately there's no firm equation for when she'll appear, meaning you'll have to keep checking the plaza to see if she's arrived. You'll recognize her when she is there; a purple hedgehog with white shades and a small pile of luggage. Go over and chat with her and she'll give you a fashion challenge to complete.

How to Complete Label's Challenge

After talking with her, Label will tell you she's looking for inspiration for her clothing line "Labelle" and that you can help. She'll then ask you to dress up in an outfit that fully encapsulates a single look, theme or idea, giving you a piece of free clothing that helps give a sense of what she's looking for. These are all the themes we know of:

  • Comfy
  • Everyday
  • Fairy Tale
  • Formal
  • Goth
  • Outdoorsy
  • Party
  • Sporty
  • Theatrical
  • Vacation
  • Work

These themes are pretty broad and there isn't much in the way of trickery here; for example, "Theatrical" can encompass anything associated with performance, from costumes to fancy clothes to a flashy, pop-star get-up. The challenge is finding a piece of clothing for every section of your body that fits the theme. If you're having trouble, try one of these ideas:

  • Check your wardrobe to see the full range of clothing available to you.
  • Go to the Able Sisters shop to see what they have for sale. Make sure to check the fitting room for more options.
  • Ask your friends for help! If you have an online connection, other players can always temporarily donate you the right pants for the occasion.

Once you've got all the clothing for the theme (don't worry, it doesn't have to actually match or look good), go see Label again. She'll thank you, take some notes, and give you your reward.

Label Rewards and Labelle Clothing

Label's prize for your help is, suitably, a piece of clothing from her own line, Labelle. There are eight pieces of Labelle Clothing to collect:

  • Labelle Sunglasses
  • Labelle Socks
  • Labelle Hat
  • Labelle Cap
  • Labelle Pumps
  • Labelle Knit Shirt
  • Labelle Dress
  • Labelle Shorts

These items can come in a variety of colours, but always have the same design and patterns. They'll also occasionally appear for sale at the Able Sisters shop after getting them as a reward from Label. Finally, the next day Label will send you a pair of Tailor Tickets via your mailbox, items you can keep in your inventory and exchange at the Able Sisters shop for any piece of clothing worth less than 3000 bells. Simply ask to buy the clothes, and Mabel will check to see if you want to pay with the ticket. If there's more clothes you want to get than just two, we've got a helpful guide to making bells fast.
