Animal Crossing New Horizons: Where to Find Pascal

The deep-sea diving otter called Pascal has been added to Animal Crossing New Horizons. Here's where to find them.

Animal Crossing New Horizons continues to receive small updates, adding everything from an art gallery to deep sea diving. It's the latter that we're discussing today, namely how to find the new character Pascal that has been added recently. Pascal is a bright red otter, responsible for showing you the ropes with the new diving mechanic. You'll need to find Pascal first, we'll show you how.

Where to Find Pascal in Animal Crossing New Horizons

To find Pascal in Animal Crossing New Horizons you'll need to head to the shore on your island and get into the sea. You can buy a wetsuit from Nook's Cranny (more on that here). Once you have the wetsuit head to the sea and press A. You'll want to tap A to swim around until you see bubbles on the surface of a certain spot. Swim to it and press Y, this will allow you to dive and catch what's down there. Keep doing this until you find a scallop. Pascal will appear and ask you to give it to them. Do so, and they'll give you a Mermaid Recipe (more on those here).

How to Find Pascal Again

After you've met Pascal for the first time they will swim off and out of sight. After this meeting Pascal will appear randomly after you've caught a scallop. There's no real way of knowing when and where he'll pop up, so just keep catching scallops to lure him back in.

Is Pascal a New Character?

Pascal is not a new character in the Animal Crossing series. They have appeared in a bunch of AC games such as Pocket Camp, Wild World, New Leaf and City Folk.

There's plenty more on Animal Crossing right here on USgamer. First up there's Caty's article on Wedding Season. Then there's our official review.
