Apex Legends' First Season 6 Teaser is Here, Pointing to Map Changes

The World's Edge could be in for a few reworks.

Apex Legends has begun teasing what many people suspect is the next in-game seasonal event. A bunch of brand new construction signs have appeared on the World's Edge map, which point to overhauls of the existing map coming before too long.

The Hammond Robotics 'Future Worksight' banners have been erected in several locations on the World's Edge map. You can find them at the Drill Site and Dome locations on the map right now, but they haven't actually altered the locations that they've been set up at.

Hammond Robotics is a sinister corporation in the Apex Legends/Titanfall universe, and they're not to be messed with. They're chiefly responsible for the atrocities committed by Blisk's IMC forces in Titanfall 2, and more recently they're actually the forces that hired Revenant as a hitman and eventually turned him into a synthetic nightmare.

Over on the Apex Legends subreddit, players have taken this to mean that we won't be getting a new map when Season 6 of Apex Legends rolls around next month. The map rotation has been changed every other season so far, with World's Edge being introduced in Season 2, and a changed version of King's Canyon being reintroduced in Season 4.

The construction signs likely mean that instead of an entire new map with Season 6 for Apex Legends, we'll likely be getting some alterations made to Drill Site and Dome in particular. So far, there's no current start date for the upcoming season, but it's expected that Season 6 should launch next month in August, due to the recent single-player Quests having recently wrapped up.

Speaking of, the Quests wrapped up with the return of Ash, a synthetic character not seen since Titanfall 2. Ash hinted at a new in-game map located in a place called Olympus for Apex Legends. Could this potential new map be launching alongside the changes to World's Edge next season?
