Apex Legends' Revenant Resurfaces on EA's Website
Respawn can't quash the speculation.
Respawn just revealed Season 4: Assimilation for Apex Legends yesterday, set to debut in February with a brand new Legend: Forge. But the introduction of this beefy MMA fighter hasn't quashed old speculation about the enigmatic Revenant eventually showing up.
Files referencing Revenant were found in Apex Legends as far back as December 2019, leading to speculation that this new Legend would be the character introduced in the upcoming Season 4. Although Respawn revealed Forge as the Legend joining the Apex Games in Season 4, it turns out you can find the asset below of Revenant on EA's own website.
I wouldn't be so sure about Revenant not being on the menu for season 4... found on EA's answers site. from r/apexlegends
This is actually the first official image of the character from Respawn. Everything so far has been files pertaining to the mysterious Revenant, with zero confirmation of the character from EA or Respawn. This would appear to be the first official indication that yes, Revenant does actually exist.
Then, there appears to be the outline of Revenant in the main Season 4 blog post on the official Apex Legends website. This is a lot more speculative than the official asset from EA's website, but it still builds up a neat aura of mystery surrounding the mysterious Legend.
I think I found Revenant cloaked in the background of season 4 blog. HE'S STILL AROUND! from r/apexlegends
Whatever the case, Season 4: Assimilation launches February 4 (my birthday, thanks Respawn) on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Forge will be available to purchase as the new Legend, and for now we'll keep staring at that mysterious UFO above the Apex Legends map, wondering what it could contain.
