ARK: Survival Evolved Sells 1 Million Copies on PS4

The survival adventure game was the best-selling game on PlayStation Network in January.

Studio Wildcard has announced a new milestone for its survival adventure game ARK: Survival Evolved. In addition to a new sci-fi style update for the Xbox One and PlayStation versions of the game, the studio says that ARK has sold over 1 million copies on PS4 since its launch on December 6, 2016. ARK also happened to be the best-selling game on the PlayStation Network for December 2016 and January 2017.

To celebrate the milestone, Studio Wildcard is offering an ARK: Survival Evolved bundle for 20 percent off on the PlayStation Store. The Survivor's Pack is an up-to-date version of the game, including the Scorched Earth expansion.

"We want to say a big thank you to all the fans who have supported us as we march toward completion of this epic game," said Studio Wildcard co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz. "The community is the key part of what makes ARK an exciting, dynamic experience and keeps survivors coming back for more!"

It's worth noting that ARK: Survival Evolved is in Early Access on PC and Game Preview on Xbox One. PlayStation lacks an equivalent program, hence the full launch. Studio Wildcard already came under fire for offering a paid expansion for a game that was still in Early Access.

Ark Fans Unhappy with Paid Expansion for Early Access Title

I don't believe this for a sec, There less than 1000 servers. You can only have 70-76 players per server at any given time, thats 70,000 players at any given time. If they sold 1mil copies, What the hell are 930,000 people doing? It's simple math and it doesn't make sense. If that many people bought the game and are not playing than "wildcard, you have a huge problem". No way sony would let 90% of a player base not be able to play a game. sony would dump them faster than you can say EA.
