Arms Tier List: Nintendo Reveals Who The Top Players Use to Win

Does your favorite sit at the top?

You may have seen unofficial tier lists for Arms, Nintendo's unique fighter for the Switch, but the publisher is here to provide the hard truth. Today the GDC 2018 panel, "ARMS: Building Mario Kart 8 Insights into a Showcase Nintendo Switch Fighter", Nintendo offered the win percentages for the Top 3% of Arms players.

If you're in the competitive scene and you're looking to counter-pick your characters, there look to be some compelling choices here. Master Mummy seems to have a commanding gap on Ninjara and Kid Cobra, while Ribbon Girl can clearly hold her own against Master Mummy, Mechanica, and Spring Man. The list is unfortunately missing post-launch fighters Max Brass, Lola Pop, Misango, and Springtron.

Adding up the scores gives you a rough idea who wins most often overall. In order, the totals are:

  • Mechanica: 462.46
  • Twintelle: 459.38
  • Min Min: 456.21
  • Byte and Barq: 454.94
  • Ribbon Girl: 450.50
  • Kid Cobra: 450.12
  • Helix: 443.07
  • Master Mummy: 441.98
  • Spring Man: 440.22
  • Ninjara: 437.19

And there you have it, Master Mummy might be strong in certain match-ups, but overall he sits in the bottom tier with Spring Man and Ninjara. And Arms' ladies hold the top spots, with Mechanica, Twintelle, and Min Min winning most of the time. Does this change you you play?
