ARMS Update Coming Soon, Data-Mining Reveals Potential New Fighters
Pick up your ARMS, continue the fight.
While discourse for Nintendo's new fighting IP, ARMS, has quieted down in favor of Splatoon 2 hype, don't be fooled into thinking the game is no longer popular. There's a very dedicated ARMS fanbase out there, and it's hyped over news about an update coming very soon.
The announcement for the incoming update was made late last week on ARMS' official (Japanese) Twitter account. JTYaku.net has since translated the Tweet. Here's what's up:
"Breaking news! Information from the ARMS Corporation Top Level has been delivered: [A balance adjustment update is planned for implementation in the middle of next week]. Other than that, are there any other happy additions, or not? Please wait for a follow up report!"

So balance-tweaking is confirmed for the update, but what are these "happy additions" Biff speaks of? Reddit's ARMS community has been doing a little data-mining, and it may have discovered several new fighters ready to roll out. At the very least, several new names have popped up in the code. These include "Sumo," "Chain," "Robo," and a few others.
The update may include a hefty story revelation, too. Could it involve the mysterious "Doctor C" who's referenced in the shadowy pages of ARMS' lab journals? JTYaku thinks so.
We'll have more info on the update as it occurs.
