Ashly Burch Will Reprise the Role of Chloe Price in a Life is Strange: Before the Storm Bonus Episode

It will be included in the Before the Storm Deluxe Edition, releasing in 2018.

Ashly Burch and Hannah Telle, who were the original voices for Chloe Price and Max Caulfield in the first season of Life is Strange respectively, will be reprising their roles for a special bonus episode in Before the Storm's Deluxe Edition.

Burch's portrayal of Chloe Price in the first season of Life is Strange was critically acclaimed and fans were expecting her to reprise the role for the prequel. But the SAG-AFTRA strike, which was happening during Before the Storm's development, prevented Burch from reprising her role. Deck Nine then hired Rhianna DeVries to takeover the role with Burch working in an advisory capacity for the character.

"Rhianna DeVries has done a fantastic job for the voice and motion capture of 16-year-old Chloe so far," read a statement from Square Enix. "We are forever thankful to Rhianna for the work she has put into Before the Storm and she will continue to work with us for the motion capture of young Chloe in Farewell."

Life is Strange Before the Storm is a prequel series developed by Deck Nine-taking over from dontnod who developed the original Life is Strange season. The prequel followed Chloe Price before she was reunited with her childhood friend Max Caulfield (who was the protagonist of the first season).

The three episode season has yet to conclude, but Deck Nine has announced a Deluxe Edition for 2018 where players can experience the "Farewell" bonus episode that will see Burch reprise her role as Chloe Price.

The "Farewell" episode will have you playing as a young Max Caulfield, with the press release saying that this might be the last time you get to see Max and Chloe together. If you've played the first season of the game, you'll know what a messed up thing that is to say, considering the Max and Chloe's relationship anchored the game.

Life is Strange Before the Storm's final episode, "Hell is Empty" does not currently have a release date.
