Assassin's Creed Odyssey Gets Valhalla-Inspired Armor in an Update Today

The Northern Traveler's Armor set is yours to find.

There's still a few months left until Assassin's Creed Valhalla launches later this year, but Ubisoft's giving players a sneak peek at an in-game armor set. Starting today, you'll be able to find and claim a special Valhalla-inspired armor set in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Ubisoft announced the new additions for Assassin's Creed Odyssey yesterday over on the official Assassin's Creed subreddit. Once the new patch is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, you'll be able to delve into the 2018 game and go about tracking down the new armor set and fearsome new axe, both of which you can see just below.

How will you go about getting your hands on the new items? Ubisoft aren't giving that away, as the Reddit post reveals that you'll have to stay tuned for unlock conditions in the near future. Who knows, there might be a brand new quest where you'll have to embark on as either Kassandra or Alexios to obtain the new armor set and axe.

The Northern Traveler's Set represents the new style of armor that you'll be able to obtain in Assassin's Creed Valhalla later this year. Mike recently played a large chunk of Valhalla, and experienced the game's huge new raid battles for himself.

The next game in Ubisoft's franchise is set to launch later this year on November 17, and it'll be arriving on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There isn't a release date for next-gen platforms, but we know that Valhalla will be launching at some point later for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Ubisoft is amidst a reckoning with multiple sexual harassment allegations around leading employees. Two Ubisoft vice presidents have been placed on extended leave, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla director Ashraf Ismail has taken a leave of absence. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has promised to "make fundamental changes" and personally investigate each allegation.
