Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass Will Include a Remastered Version of One of the Most Controversial Games in the Series

A surprise remaster is coming in 2019.

Ubisoft revealed its season pass offerings for for Assassin's Creed Odyssey today which includes several arcs of post-launch content and a surprise remastered version of Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation.

As part of the season pass for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Odyssey there will be two Story Arcs with three episodes each as part of Odyssey's post-launch content. Starting December 2018 there will be Story Arc 1, "The Legacy of the First Blade," which follows the first hero to wield the hidden blade. Each episode will be released six weeks apart.

Story Arc 2 is titled, "The Fate of Atlantis" and will see players journey to the underwater city and face "godly creatures." The second arc begins sometime in spring 2019 and new episodes will be released every six weeks.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Interestingly, players who purchase the season pass will also get Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered when it comes out sometime in March 2019. The new remastered version comes with 4K and HDR support on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC. Similarly, Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation Remastered will be available in full HD on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Ubisoft is also promising free content for all owners of Assassin's Creed Odyssey including free episodic questlines for "The Lost Tales of Greece," and the return of the Discovery Tour mode which lets players explore the ancient world unfettered and learn interesting facts about the setting.
