E3 is right around the corner and this means leaks of all shapes and sizes! In Ubisoft news, a NeoGAF user posted an image of a Target pre-order card for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins. The latest entry takes the franchise to ancient Egypt. The art on the card shows our hero, rumored to be named Ba Yek, sporting his Assassin gauntlets, a shield, a bow, and cool hawk. Most of these items have been seen in other promotional materials, meaning they're likely part of your default arsenal.
The pre-order card also shows what we can expect content-wise for AC Origins post-launch. There's a Season Pass like most major AAA games, meaning Ubisoft has plans for multiple DLC packs for the game. The card references a Deluxe Pack, which is likely a new outfit or some kickin' weapons.
It also mentions a pre-order bonus mission, Secrets of the First Pyramids. The earlier leaked screenshots put Assassin's Creed Origins within the fifth dynasty of ancient Egypt, somewhere between 2375 and 2345 BC. In contrast, the first pyramids were built in the third dynasty, with the earliest known structure being the Pyramid of Djoser, constructed between 2630 BC and 2611 BC. That means it looks like Ba Yek will be going tomb raiding!
We'll have more on Assassin's Creed Origins as Ubisoft reveals it at E3 2017.
