Astral Chain is a New Platinum Action Game From the Designer of Nier: Automata
Hideki Kamiya is supervising the project as well.
Nintendo announced a new action game for the Nintendo Switch today from Platinum Games. It's called Astral Chain, and while it's got a pretty anime look, its pedigree is no joke. Hideki Kamiya is serving as Astral Chain's supervisor while Nier: Automat designer Takahisa Taura will be the director.
Astral Chain is described as a new Platinum action game set in a futuristic, multi-cultural city. The player will take on the role of two of the city's police special forces as they try to stop some kind of robotic menace terrorizing the city. The trailer seems to indicate a big city, and the trademark Platinum action bonafides.
Astral Chain is coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 30 this year.
