Axe of the Blood God Reviews Anthem, Wonders About BioWare's Future, and Says Farewell to Reggie

AXE OF THE BLOOD GOD | BioWare's latest is finally here, and there's a lot to discuss.

Anthem is finally here, and... well... we've got a lot to discuss. So let's started [download link here]!

If you've read Mike's Anthem review, you know that it has problems with repetitive missions, loot, storytelling... basically everything. We dig in and discuss everything that went wrong with the launch version of Anthem as well as how BioWare can fix it. We also talk about BioWare's decline under EA, and what happens next.

Also in this episode: I bid farewell to Reggie, who is heading into retirement after 15 years with Nintendo. And of course, we read your comments from the previous episode.

Show Description

Kat bids farewell to Reggie Fils-Aime as he heads into a well-deserved retirement, then digs into Anthem alongside guest Mike Williams. And the question is: What the heck happened? The pair talk about its broken loot, mission structure, and other problems, and also some of what it got right. Plus, in what is fast becoming a weekly segment, Kat rants about EA's handling of BioWare.

Music from Axe of the Blood God is courtesy of Lena Raine, composer of Celeste. I also use music from the RPG Music Pack over at rpgmaker.net. Check it out!
