Axe of the Blood God Dives Into Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on the Occasion of San Diego Comic-Con

And Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers too!

Team Ninja and Nintendo could hardly have chosen a better time to release Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3—smack in the middle of San Diego Comic-Con and the hype for Phase 4 of the MCU. Mike and I talk about that and more in the latest episode of Axe of the Blood God [download link here]!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 itself roughly meets expectations, which is to say that it's pretty average. But it nevertheless does a good job of deepening the franchise's otherwise light strategy while including a ton of fanservice from across the comics, movies, and video games. Mike and I talk about all of that in our review, as well as our thoughts on the MCU as a whole, the new Top Gun 2 trailer, and more.

Plus, it's a little late, but we're finally doing our Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers expansion! Find out why it sets a new standard for the much-loved MMORPG. And of course, Nadia and I talk some more about Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
