Axe of the Blood God Episode 23: A Deeper Look at Fire Emblem Fates

Having wrapped up Birthright, Kat and special guest Elliot Gay take a deeper look at Nintendo's upcoming strategy RPG.

Axe of the Blood God is our weekly RPG podcast hosted by Kat Bailey. You can find the show notes for previous episodes here.

In this week's episode of Axe of the Blood God (download link here), Elliot Gay returns to discuss the Birthright portion of Fire Emblem Fates, then concludes with some of the RPGs he's playing right now.

Fire Emblem Fates is the latest in Intelligent Systems's seminal strategy RPG series, following on from the unexpectedly successful Fire Emblem Awakening. Released in late June in Japan, it is split into distinct halvefs - Conquest and Birthright. Elliot recently wrapped up Birthright, so I invited him to drop by and talk about it on the show, where we discuss how it compares to Awakening, the differences between Conquest and Birthright, and other details.
