Axe of the Blood God Reviews Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Talks to Legendary RPG Writer Chris Avellone

AXE OF THE BLOOD GOD | Nadia and Kat sit down to review the triumphant return of Valkyria Chronicles and interview writer Chris Avellone about his latest game.

Axe of the Blood God is our weekly RPG podcast hosted by Kat Bailey and Nadia Oxford. You can find the previous episodes here.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker may be flying below the radar a bit, but it has some big names attached to it, including legendary RPG writer Chris Avellone. He joins us to talk about his latest, share his regrets about Fallout 2, and discuss the challenge of portraying evil decisions in RPGs. Plus, Kat and Nadia review Valkyria Chronicles 4! [download link here]!

If you read my Valkyria Chronicles 4 review from last week, you'll know that I'm fairly positive about it. Nadia and I delve into the battle system, the cast, and how it compares to the original game, plus how it looks on the Nintendo Switch. Don't worry, we won't have any spoilers, per usual.

Also in this episode: Chris Avellone talks Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Fallout 2, and the current state of RPG writing. It's a wide ranging interview, and a very fun one if you're an RPG fan. Check it out!
