Axe of the Blood God: The Death Stranding Spoilercast is Here

Kat, Hirun, and Eric get together to talk about everything that happens in Kojima's confounding new blockbuster.

This week we take a short break from chattering about RPGs to talk about a game you might call "RPG adjacent": Death Stranding [download link here].

Hideo Kojima's confounding blockbuster has been the talk of the town for three weeks or more, but this is the first time that Eric, Hirun, and I can really talk about it. We break down the themes, talk about how we handled a key boss fight, and discuss whether it's ultimately saved by its ending. Obviously, major spoilers abound! So if you're planning to play Death Stranding, maybe keep this podcast in your back pocket.

Also in this episode, Eric explains why we need a Mass Effect remaster, and the trio briefly debate which game in the series has the best cast. Spoilers begin at 17:40 and continue for the rest of the episode!

Kat takes a break from the RPG beat to talk about one of the biggest games of the year: Death Stranding! She's joined by Eric Van Allen and Hirun Cryer to discuss Bridge Babies, deconstructing America, and clocking bandits over the head with cargo. This one is full of spoilers so beware! Plus: Why it's time for Mass Effect to be remastered.
