Batman Arkham Origins Dev to Reveal Next Game at DC FanDome Event Next Week

Including a 20-minute Q&A session with the developers.

Warner Brothers has just published the full schedule for the DC #FanDome event slated to take place next week. Buried within the schedule is an announcement from Warner Bros. Montreal, who say they'll reveal their next game at the showcase.

The reveal of WB Montreal's next game will be taking place on Saturday, August 22. According to the official FanDome schedule, which you can check out in full for yourself, the reveal will take place at 10:30 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. The event is slated to be roughly 20 minutes long, and will contain a Q and A session with the developers.

What the developers behind Batman Arkham Origins could be revealing is anyone's guess. However, the 'Gotham Knights' name appeared in the source code of the FanDome event website last month, which led plenty to speculate that this would be the next game announced by WB Montreal. The studio itself, as well as publisher Warner Bros., never commented on the rumors.

Elsewhere in the FanDome schedule, you can expect a full reveal of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. As Rocksteady revealed earlier this month, this is their next project after rounding out the Batman Arkham Trilogy of games with Arkham Knight back in 2015. No information is available for the Suicide Squad game at the current time, but it sure does sound like we'll be going after Justice League titans like Superman and Batman, among others.

This will finally close the book on WB Montreal's long-running teasers for their next game. What began as a simple teaser for WB Montreal's new game all the way back in September 2019 turned into a waiting game, with the Court of Owls being teased for the unannounced game in December. There's been no news of the project since, but a report did claim that a Batman game was in development for next-gen consoles.
