Battlefield 5 Firestorm Release Date Confirmed for Later this Month

See two minutes of in-engine Firestorm footage.

DICE and EA have revealed new details on the Firestorm battle royale mode. Releasing on March 25, the battle royale mode will be launching on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on March 25.

In the release date trailer for the mode, which you can see below, you can see the map of Firestorm for the first time. We can see air, land, and sea vehicles in action, all of which can be found over the huge map.

At the very end of the trailer, we can see a team opening two massive doors. This seems to point towards powerful tanks like the Tiger being available in Firestorm, but we'll have to wait and see to find out for sure.

You might think that EA releasing a new battle royale mode so soon after the launch of Apex Legends last month might hurt Firestorm's chances, but EA disagrees with this view.

To see what we made of the base game, when it first launched late last year in October, you can check out our Battlefield 5 review. If you're still soldiering on in DICE's shooter, head over to our Battlefield 5 guide.
