A brief Battlefield 5 teaser video has heavily suggested that the game will be set in the WW2 era. The Battlefield 5 reveal event is right around the corner, set to be hosted in London by the Daily Show's Trevor Noah on May 23, so we don't have long to wait to find out all the details.
The official Battlefield Twitter account released the short, 20 second teaser just below on May 21. We can expect the full reveal of the game on Wednesday, May 23.
If the tiny teaser just above is anything to by, Battlefield 5 looks to be a fairly gritty game, not entirely unlike its predecessor, Battlefield 1. We don't yet know in what time period the shooter is set, although WW2 seems likely given the soldier's outfit seen in the video, but we do know that it'll be releasing at some point in 2018, most likely towards the end of the year.
Other than the soldier, the only other point of note in the tiny teaser above is that Xbox branding is used. This doesn't necessarily equate to a content exclusivity deal with Microsoft, however, so don't expect there to be exclusive maps for Xbox players.
Rumors point to Battlefield 5 including a Battle Royale mode of some sort. It's not yet know if this will be revealed during the event on May 23. Check back for all the details here on USgamer.
