Bayonetta 3 In Development For Nintendo Switch, Bayonetta 1 & 2 Coming As Well

All the hair and all the style, on the go.

Tonight at the 2017 Game Awards, Nintendo finally delivered on what Platinum Games teased so long ago: Bayonetta is coming to Nintendo Switch. Both games will be coming to the platform. Bayonetta 2 is the physical release, while Bayonetta comes as digital download.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 are coming to Switch on February 16, 2018. Nintendo has announced a Japanese special edition of the game. The Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition will come with a steelbook case, art cards, and other goods for Nintendo Switch. There's no word on whether we'll get this edition in North America.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils Aime also offered an additional surprise: Platinum Games is developing Bayonetta 3 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch! There's no release window for the newest entry in the franchise, but at least the first two games will keep you happy while you wait.

M.H. Williams is new to the journalism game, but he's been a gamer since the NES first graced American shores. Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
