Bethesda Details Fallout 76’s First Seasonal Event: The Fasnacht Parade

As well as a few highlights from the next major patch.

Bethesda has released its latest Inside the Vault blog post, detailing some of the upcoming content for Fallout 76. Players can look forward to the game’s very first seasonal event: The Fasnacht Parade.

The Fasnacht Parade will commence on March 19, and will place a limited-event quest in the mission log of players for exactly one week. Here’s the full description for The Fasnacht Parade event:

Fasnacht Parade is a repeatable, limited-time event quest that will be available for one week, starting on March 19. You and any other dwellers who wish to take part must speak with the Master of Ceremonies in Helvetia and then divide and conquer to find and aid the town’s robotic shopkeepers in setting up for the annual parade. You and your compatriots will be asked to assist with a variety of party prep duties that may have you stepping on stage to play a cheery tune, choosing the perfect decorations, or exterminating some buzzing pests, among many other activities.

After setting up for the festivities, players must protect the parade of marching robotic revelers. The more that survive the journey, the higher the chance that you’ll earn a Fasnacht Mask at the end, with at least four different types being up for grabs. On top of the masks, there’s also Fasnacht-themed C.A.M.P. plans to earn.

Elsewhere in the blog post, Bethesda highlighted some of the changes coming to Fallout 76 as part of major Patch 7. We’ve summarized the main talking points below:

  • Energy and Heavy Weapon Balance
  • Reduced the fire-rate for high rate-of-fire automatic heavy weapons across the board and increased their damage by +10%.
  • C.A.M.P. and Workshop Budget Adjustments
  • Adding a new challenge tracking interface to the Map, which you can use to quickly access the challenges menu whenever you’d like
Well these look...creepy | Bethesda

These updates look to be small quality of life adjustments, and a step in the right direction for Fallout 76, and time will tell whether The Fasnacht Parade seasonal event will be enough to tempt lapsed players back to the game.
