Black Ops 4 Blackout is Testing a Much-Needed Fix for Stash UI

The UI is getting an overhaul, thank goodness.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout could be getting new stash UI for loot soon, after one Treyarch designer shared a prototype version of it that is currently in testing.

Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar shared a new, grid-like item UI that shows several rows of loot at once. The current Blackout item UI only allows players to access one item at a time, and they have to scroll through the menu in order to find the item they're looking for. The process of getting an item only becomes more difficult as players pick up more loot.

The new system will show more items at once and, according to Vonderhaar, will either be a 2x5 or 3x5 grid system. The menu will be anchored to the bottom of your screen near the quick equip bar. This leaves players with most of the screen above the bottom row to work with while they play.

The UI is currently undergoing testing by Treyarch QA, so it shouldn't be too long until we see the new item menu roll out for players.

Blackout is Black Ops 4's battle royale mode, a first for the Call of Duty series. The pace and military-style of the mode is closer to that of PUBG's, but includes several Call of Duty-esque features like zombies and iconic weapons from past games.
